Taking The Plunge or should it be{ The Climb}?

I'm taking the plunge into a new blog. I have had a family blog for a few months now. A place for my family's (The X's**) extended family (ie- grandmothers/fathers, aunts/uncles) to see what is happening with us (Mr.X, Mrs.X and babyX). But lately, I have felt the need to vent, rant and rave, scream, hit and simply just talk to people other than our family members. You see, after getting married and having a baby at age 20, you lose a lot of contact with people that used to be 'friends'. I have a few really good friends (all of whom also have children or significant others) and I am grateful for those relationships but most of my daily communication is with my hubby, my mother and/or our beautiful 13 month old daughter(I don't get much of a response from her). After blogging for our family for a few months I have seen how close the blogging community is. I am anxious to start making connections with people going through similar situations. I also want to do some giveaways with this blog. I think giveaways are great-- especially in today's economy so I will be working hard on giveaways. I am try to be crafty so I plan on most of the giveaways to be items I have made. Ultimately, I hope this blog will be my 'escape'. My husband has video games(more on this topic later), so hopefully this blog will be my nirvana!!!

My question to my new readers: Why did YOU start a blog?

**Names have been and will continue to be changed-- to protect the innocent my family.

  1. Welcome to the blog world and thanks so much for visiting my site!

I started to blog to keep my creativity alive. I work alot and my job does not allow for innovative thinking and I felt like the part of me that enjoyed coming up with new ideas and making beautiful things was starting to slowly fade away. Blogging is slowly bringing it back. I love collecting ideas to try from other creative ladies and throwing some of my own out into the world to be enjoyed.
